Featuring art work by a fresh cohort of Goldsmiths graduates Space, Place &nd Identity is developed by the Centre for Urban and Community Research, and creates a dialogue between photography and critical theory.

Drawing on the work of theorists such as Doreen Massey, Marc Augé and Stuart Hall, the three artists use photography as a research tool to respond to social and cultural questions. Their individual projects are attuned to the ways cultural and structural environments shape personal and collective experiences, examining notions of belonging, displacement, cultural memory and urban transformation.
