This weekend, 243 Luz in Margate transformed into an artist’s café, highlighting Dutch artist Marlie Mul’s practice with social spaces and collaboration. Within the traces of this cafe installation, Opening Up is an exhibition of delicate and beautiful photogravure prints.

In these works, Mul experiments with unconventional printing techniques, curling and peeling paper to create dynamic three-dimensional compositions. The exhibition reflects her ongoing research into process and ornamentation, drawing connections between historical methods and pop aesthetics.
