Twin Loves: JWA SS26 Series

JW Anderson’s Summer Series feels raw, sun faded, and a bit undone in the best way. Jonathan Anderson leans into play here, mixing craft with a sense of escape so nothing feels too perfect or controlled.

It’s a full sensory mix. Woven leather mules, goat suede loafers, and basket weave textures show up across bags and shoes. The cult Loafer Bag returns too, now handwoven and more irregular.

Then there are the Leaf Slides. Lime toned, softly padded, and veined. They’re less “poolside basic” and more wearable still life, echoing the collection’s ongoing love affair with botanical motifs.

The colour palette features bright yellows, fresh greens, deep emeralds. Everything feels light and easy to move in, from loose dresses to open knits and relaxed sets. Nothing is stiff or overworked.

The details keep it fun. Crochet charms shaped like fruit, vegetables, and small creatures hang from bags. It’s styling as storytelling, encouraging wearers to personalise, to play, to not take things too seriously. Because beneath the craftsmanship (and there is a lot of it), there’s humour here. It makes sense when you consider the man behind it. Jonathan Anderson, the Northern Irish designer who built JW Anderson into a cult name, has long blurred the lines between art, fashion, and wit. From reshaping Loewe into a craft driven powerhouse to stepping into his role at Dior, his vision has always leaned toward the unexpected and elevated, but never out of reach.

This is the kind of wardrobe that looks better slightly crumpled, slightly sunburnt, and entirely lived-in.
