Twin Picks: Nightshade

If your Scorpio season needs somewhere to land, make it Nightshade at Numbers, 63 Vyner Street. Curated by Jennifer Lewandowska and Caroline Price, the intimate, low-lit, exhibition is a guide into the slow winter supported natural wine and edible erotic marzipan.

The show is a mood: spells, thresholds, and the small violences of transformation.

On Friday evening, the exhibition slipped deeper into ritual with poetry reading and tarot sessions by Golnoosh Nour. Tucked into a nook beside the bar, Golnoosh welcomed visitors one by one to a small round table for intimate, charged readings. With back to the noise of the opening, visitors watched as she drew cards in a rhythm and exposed inner knowledges. For a few minutes, the clatter of glasses and conversation dissolved and the rest of the room faded into the background as it was just the cards, her voice, and the pull of something unseen.

For anyone tired of the bright, frictionless gallery loop, Nightshade offers a different frequency: slow, witchy, and alive after dark.
