Let’s stick with the rainy theme, since the English weather has decided to keep on pouring down on us (the cheek).

This song has been sampled by a pretty respectable number of artists – A Tribe Called Quest, Ghostface Killah, De La Soul – and most famously M.I.A.

Yet my favorite by far is the 1976 original from swing/big band/disco outfit Dr Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band.

Whether it rains or shines, please make sure you have a sweet sweet tender weekend.

Yesterday we were all wide awake and lively at the Twin launch party thanks to the banging tunes of DJ’s Pandora’s Box and Joana Preiss.

Today is a totally different story. Post party, we’re in the mood to meditate. As this soothing song by mysterious one-man band Memory Cassette suggests – wherever you are ’sleep with one eye open’ – we don’t want to be responsible for any office crises…

Soundtrack of Our Lives: Delorean

Delorean are on my own record label ‘Fool House’, so i thought it’d be fitting for them to introduce the Soundtrack Of Our Lives series. Every couple of days there’ll be a song to discover, old or new, doesn’t matter – always dream-inducing.

Their latest EP ‘Ayrton Senna’ came out this summer. It’s made up of songs to remind you of a delicious summer spent by the sea. Vinyl is now sold out, but you can still check Rough Trade, or all the digital online shops for the last few copies.

From the four equally amazing tracks on the EP, I choose to feature Deli, because it’s a song full of expectation and excitement – the perfect song to listen to whilst preparing for tonight’s TWIN launch party. See you there.
