Journey to the East
Born and raised in Belgrade during a time of turbulent political conflict, 26 year-old Ana Kraš has carved her own niche as an illustrator, photographer, designer and all-round dream weaver. Her photos have the poignancy of a diary, a chronicle of whispers or a wayward itch – they stay with you. And with an emotional remit that moves from soft to somber, deafening shades and a visceral focus Kraš slowly but surely melts perceptions of voyeurism to evoke something even more palpable than consent. While Kraš’s manner is hushed, her imagery is assertive and restless; it teeters on the edge of a honey drip – wistful and infinitely beautiful.
